This is a real-time travel advisory from Trekup India, 10th May 2025, for all our trekkers. We understand the concerns regarding the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict; however, please note that no official travel advisories have been issued by any government or tourism authorities. Trekup India is continuing its operations smoothly.

Current Operational Update - 10th May 2025

  • Chopta and Chandrashila Batch successfully departed on 9th May 2025.
  • Har Ki Dun and Dayara Bugyal Batches successfully departed from Dehradun today.
  • Sar Pass, Har Ki Dun, Dayara Bugyal, and Ali Bedni Batches are scheduled to depart tomorrow, 11th May 2025, as per the plan.

All our ONGOING TREKS in Har Ki Dun, Phulara Ridge, Dayara Bugyal, Chopta, and Ali Bedni are currently operating without any disruptions.

For all upcoming batches from 17th May 2025 onwards, Trekup India will release a fresh travel advisory on 15th May 2025 by 1700 hrs.
We would like to reassure all our trekkers that travel to Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh remains completely safe and uninterrupted at this time.

Current Travel Status

  • No restrictions on the movement of tourists or trekkers in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
  • All major trekking trails, highways, accommodations, and base villages are fully operational.
  • Transport services, logistics, and support staff are functioning normally.

Government & Administrative Updates

  • Both state tourism departments continue to promote travel and trekking activities.
  • No advisories, warnings, or alerts have been issued regarding closures or conflict zones in trekking regions.
  • Local administrations are actively supporting the tourism industry and ensuring the safety of all visitors.

Important Information for Trekkers

  • No special permits or emergency clearances are required beyond standard trek registration and ID verification.
  • All trekkers must carry a valid government-issued photo ID during travel and at check-in.
  • Please stay in regular contact with your designated Trekup India Coordinator for route-specific updates.

Recommendations for a Safe and Smooth Journey

  • Follow updates only from official sources or your Trekup India coordinator. Avoid acting on rumors or unverified news.
  • Inform your family and emergency contact about your trek dates and route. Share the Trekup India emergency contact number with them.
  • We strongly recommend purchasing travel/adventure insurance covering cancellations, emergencies, and medical evacuations.
  • Arrive fully prepared with all necessary gear and supplies as per your trek itinerary and packing list.

Status Monitoring & Future Updates

  • We are closely monitoring the situation through official state and central government channels.
  • In the event of any updates or advisories, we will inform you immediately.
  • As of now, all scheduled treks are proceeding as planned.

Special Support for Defence and Essential Service Personnel

Trekup India proudly supports all Defence Personnel and Essential Service Workers who have booked their treks with us and are now being called upon to serve the nation.

  • As per our standard policy, Trekup India offers a 12-month validity trek voucher.
  • For the above category of trekkers, the voucher validity will be extended to 2.5 years (30 months) from the date of issue.
  • If you are unable to use the voucher within this time frame, we will be happy to extend it further, keeping in mind the current situation and your service to the nation.
