Trek Itinerary of Kumta Gokarna Trek

Day 1: Drive to Kumta from the Common pick-up points in Bangalore

Beginning Friday at 9 PM from various meeting points across Bangalore (such as Malleshwaram near KC General Hospital and Tata Motors Showroom at Rajajinagar Metro Station, Govardhan Theatre in Yeshwanthpur, and Bureau of Indian Standards Jalahalli), our journey will reach Kumta in the early hours of Saturday.

Day 2: Trek from Kumta beach to Heaven beach

Trek Distance – 12 Km

Start your day right! After enjoying an early breakfast at Kumta beach, we embark on foot and head directly towards Kumta beach viewpoint – only 10-15 minutes away – where a breathtaking panorama awaits us. Continuing down our path we arrive at Vannalli beach, whose trek winds around hills into lush grasslands; after which we continue onward to Vannalli beach where the path winds around another hill before opening up into lush grassland; Mangodlu beach and Kadle beach were reached via scenic 7-8 kilometres walk before reaching Nirvana Bay where we visit historic Kagal Fort before making our way down to Heaven beach overnight campsite where our tents await us with dinner and relaxation before retiring for the night.

Day 3: Trek from Heaven beach to Gokarna beach and back to Bangalore

Trek Distance – 9 Km

Today we resume our trek, departing Heaven beach towards Aghanashini River using a ferry service and crossing via Belekhaan beach to Aghanashini River via Belekhaan beach and Belekhaan beach via Belekhaan beach and Belekhaan beach respectively. Once across, the landscape gradually transforms, becoming increasingly lush and forested until reaching Paradise beach where our journey leads through series of beaches such as Small Hell, Half Moon and Om until arriving at Kudle beach where we enjoy lunch followed by Gokarna beach where our trek concludes before joining back onto our vehicle and driving back towards Bangalore.

Starting Point: Kumta, Karnataka Ending Point: Gokarna, Karnataka

By Train: For travel by rail, Kumta (start) and Gokarna Road (end) railway stations are the closest stations. Train services connect Bangalore, Goa, Mumbai, and Mangalore effectively.

By Road: From Bangalore, KSRTC buses and private coaches travel directly to Kumta or Gokarna.

By Air: The closest airport is Dabolim Airport in Goa (150 km), followed by taxi/train service from Kumta.

Best Time to Visit Kumta Gokarna Trek

Post Monsoon and Early Summer (October-March): Camping, beach treks, and other outdoor activities benefit greatly from clear skies and moderate temperatures.
