Dev Roopa Trek allows visitors to experience nature at its purest. Situated near Malana Village in Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh, the trek passes through picturesque landscapes that will leave an indelible mark on your memory. The path follows the Malana River to reach Dev Roopa fields that are surrounded by towering Himalayan Mountains such as Ali Ratna and Tiger Teeth. Dev Roopa, or the “Descent of God,” is an apt description for the breathtaking grassland scenery with winding streams creating an idyllic ambiance. Dev Roopa Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Kasol towards Malana Dam and trek towards Behali.
Our day’s itinerary starts with a trip through Kasol towards Malana Dam and Malana village, known for their internationally recognized customs and ways of living, as well as for being an authentic village with strict customs and practices in their traditional culture. After exploring Malana village, we will proceed towards the Behali campsite along the Malana River, where we’ll set up camping tents for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Behali from Mota Grahan will be reached and explored over six hours.
Trek from Behali campsite to Mota Granhan through thick forests and huge grazing fields called “thatch”, used by shepherds. Once we arrive at Mota Grahan campsite we’ll set up our tents before sleeping alongside the riverbanks for the night.
Day 3: Mota Grahan to Bogdi in 6 hours.
Journeying to Bogdi Camp Site at the End of Mota Grahan can take quite some time; often known as the Starting Point for Dev Roopa. When arriving, take time out for relaxation throughout your stay in tents at this camping area.
Day 4: Bogdi to Dev Roopa and back, 7 hours
At Dev Roopa grasslands, we will embark on an energetic trek of approximately one hour duration that includes three ascents that last approximately one hour each and a tranquil stream that flows out from its sacred origin, sometimes known as “Descent of God”. Dev Roopa features sprawling lawns reminiscent of football fields with mesmerizing streams flowing slowly across its landscape in gentle curving lines – perfect for exploring nature before returning downhill and making our camp for tonight at the Bogdi campsite.
Day 5: Bogdi to Behali, 5 5-hour trek and drive to Kasol
Returning towards the Behali camping area and then down until we reach the road. Here, our vehicles await to transport us all back home safely. This concludes our adventure together.

How To Reach Dev Roopa Trek
Reach Bhuntar by Air: To arrive by air, Kullu-Manali Airport (Bhuntar) is closest.
The closest train railhead can be found in Chandigarh (270 kilometres away).
By Road: Bus services operate frequently between Delhi, Chandigarh, Manali, and elsewhere in Himachal Pradesh. Bhuntar to Malana Village: for this journey of 22 kilometres, you have several transportation options from Jari. Take either a cab or the local bus service and follow directions as stated below. Continue driving towards Malana Gate (commonly referred to as Malana Power House road).
