Valley of Flowers Trek Temporarily Closed | Hampta Pass Operating Smoothly – August 2025 Updates

We have received an official update from the Forest Department of Uttarakhand regarding trekking activities in the Valley Of Flower. As per the latest weather advisory, heavy rainfall is expected over the coming days. In view of recent incidents, including the tragic event in Harshil (Uttarkashi), the authorities have decided to temporarily restrict certain trekking activities in Uttarakhand for the safety of all Travellers.

Closure Period

Trekking to the Valley of Flowers will remain closed from 10th to 15th August 2025.

Batch-Wise Update

09th Aug 2025 Batch:

Currently in Ghangaria. Successfully completed the Hemkund Sahib trek today. Tomorrow, the group will return to Pipalkoti or opt for an excursion to Badrinath and Mana Village.

10th Aug 2025 Batch:

Safely reached Pipalkoti and settled into Trekup India accommodation. On 11th August, the group will go for an excursion to Badrinath and Mana Village. On 12th August, they are scheduled for local Joshimath exploration.

11th–13th Aug 2025 Batches:

Treks cancelled with 100% refund in the form of a Trek Voucher (valid for 12 months).

14th & 15th Aug 2025 Batches:

Treks shifted to 16th August 2025

Your Options

Postpone: Reschedule your Valley of Flowers trek for any date after 15th August 2025.
Cancel: If you cancel receive 100% Trekup India voucher for the amount paid, redeemable against any future trek with us within 12 months.

Hampta Pass Trek Update

We are pleased to inform you that the Hampta Pass Trek is running as per plan and all batches are being operated smoothly without any major challenges.

Road Conditions to Manali

There have been occasional roadblocks and minor landslides en route to Manali, causing some delays for trekkers in reaching the starting point. This is quite common during the monsoon season, and roads are typically cleared within a few hours. It is not a matter of concern, and all treks are continuing as scheduled.

Batch-Wise Update:

09th Aug 2025 Batch:

Successfully departed from Manali on schedule and are currently at Shea Goru.

10th Aug 2025 Batch:

Successfully departed from Manali on schedule and are currently at Balu Ka Ghera.

11th Aug 2025 Batch:

Successfully departed from Manali on schedule and have reached Chika Campsite.
12th–15th Aug 2025 Batches: All departures are on schedule.
