15 Best Himalayan Treks You Must Do in 2025
We’ve put together our selection of the 15 must-do Himalayan treks for adventure seekers this year, which were no easy feat due to all their diverse charm. However, we are delighted to present our collection of must-do treks which will leave you breathless with wonder.
Pangarchulla Peak Trek
Pangarchulla Peak Trek offers the perfect balance of excitement and challenge. Soaring to 15,069 feet at its summit point, it may prove challenging; however, its rewards more than make up for their efforts as trekkers enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Garhwal peaks, including Nanda Ghunti and Trishul ranges, for the first time visible here! If you are an adventure-seeker looking for an exciting summit experience, this trek should certainly fit the bill.

Brahmatal Trek
Trekup India was responsible for discovering and documenting the Brahmatal trek, like so many others. It reaches its highest point at Brahmatal Top at 12,250 ft and offers breathtaking views. En route, you will encounter Mount Chaukhamba, Neelkanth Hathi Ghoda Trishul Nanda Ghunti; perfect for solo trekkers, with snowfall covering this trail from December through February, with trekking season lasting until the end of April.

Dayara Bugyal Trek
The Dayara Bugyal trek embodies the classic Himalayan experience, boasting beautiful forests, picturesque campsites, and historic villages as well as exhilarating ascents to lofty summits and breathtaking mountain vistas – not forgetting some of Uttarakhand’s most spectacular alpine meadows, which transform into serene white landscapes! A trek that provides moderate difficulty levels makes this adventure accessible to a range of adventurers.

Kedarkantha Summit Trek
Kedarkantha was one of our initial treks we began organizing, featuring a magnificent ascent to its summit and offering breathtaking panoramic views from various Himalayan peaks. Over time, we have explored new and exciting trails leading up to it, now offering even greater enjoyment year-round!

Deoriatal Chandrashila Trek
Engage in an unforgettable 6-day journey with Trekup India on the Deoriatal Chandrashila trek – an unparalleled adventure offering stunning vistas of the Himalayas from its summit. Ascend to see major peaks from both Western and Eastern Uttarakhand. Time your trek when the blooming rhododendrons create an amazing setting, adding extra beauty. Plus, this trail serves as a haven for bird enthusiasts, offering diverse species to spot; often described as a birdwatcher’s paradise!

Har Ki Dun Trek
Trekup India has made the Har Ki Dun Trek an unforgettable journey of cultural and natural discovery, offering visitors an opportunity to discover ancient villages while visiting breathtaking valleys, lakes, and meadows. Additionally, Trekup India has enhanced this trek by including Ruinsara Tal in their itinerary; many consider Ruinsara Tal more picturesque than Har Ki Dun Valley, making this trek essential.

Phulara Ridge Trek
Phulara Ridge trek is ideal for autumn and spring seasons – September, October, November, May, and June to be precise – offering an unforgettable experience. Pushtara meadows make this trek especially inviting to adventure seekers, while its scenic dense forests offer ample wildlife spotting opportunities and birdwatching. Our expeditions have recorded sightings of over 10 species of Himalayan birds, which makes the Phulara Ridge trek ideal for ornithologists!

Valley of Flowers Trek
The Valley of Flowers trek is a journey unlike any other. Locals claim the potent fragrance of blooming blooms can be breathtakingly overwhelming, leaving even experienced trekkers speechless. As soon as you step foot on this natural wonder, its stunning scale unfolds before your eyes with flowers of every shape, size, hue, and size all around – not forgetting its sacred site of pilgrimage at Hemkund Sahib situated high up.

Hampta Pass Trek
Hampta Pass was our inaugural trek outside Uttarakhand that we embarked on in 2010. This remarkable Himachal Pradesh trek holds a special place in my heart as Trekup India was instrumental in popularizing it among trekkers. I would gladly repeat it as it remains one of my top remarkable treks and adds one of the most striking crossover experiences available to trekkers – starting in Kullu with narrow valleys similar to gorges that eventually leads up to lofty vantage points high up in the mountains; finally arriving at its culmination point you are treated with breathtaking panoramic views across Spiti Valley stretching in front of you – one must do this trek as you won’t believe your eyes when reaching its end point awaits you!

Buran Ghati Trek
Buran Ghati trek provides an unforgettable adventure, packed with breathtaking meadows, an exhilarating pass crossing, and glimpses into ancient village life. Rupin Pass trek follows an alternative path, beginning from Janglik through dense forests before emerging onto Dayara meadows – two incredible treks all in one!

Rupin Pass Trek
Rupin Pass Trekking is an iconic Indian journey, offering thrills through ever-shifting landscapes and captivating narratives. As trekkers advance, new panoramas unfold almost hourly – the experience truly captures the spirit of exploration! A standout feature of this legendary trek is its difficult but exhilarating ascent from Upper Waterfall campsite to Rati Pheri and up Rupin Gully towards its endpoint at a 15,279 feet pass.

Sandakphu Phalut Trek
The Sandakphu Phalut trek provides an extraordinary opportunity to witness four of the world’s tallest mountains: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga, which makes this Himalayan trek truly remarkable. Additionally, visitors will witness the Kanchenjunga range peaks referred to collectively as the Sleeping Buddha, creating lasting impressions. You’ll experience unique tea houses that resemble hotels but offer their own distinct experience to fully appreciate their warmth.

Gaumukh Tapovan Trek
The Gaumukh Tapovan trek in India’s Himalayan wilderness is an iconic Himalayan journey, known for its breathtaking vistas. Witness Mt Shiv and explore Gangotri glacier as you make your way from its birthplace all the way back down. Ristreksh serves as its base camp, offering travellers a rich cultural experience which they will surely not want to miss during this expedition!

Kashmir Great Lakes Trek
Kashmir is an exquisitely beautiful destination, boasting lakes of exceptional beauty that rival each other in beauty. A trek through these spectacular lakes provides an immersive experience reminiscent of viewing a cinematic masterpiece on the big screen rather than watching another average TV show. Don’t delay adding the Kashmir Great Lakes trek to your to-do list as its sheer magnificence will leave you breathless.

Pin Bhaba Pass Trek
The Pin Bhaba Pass trek is famed for its breathtaking variety, featuring landscapes that change dramatically day after day and offering unparalleled beauty and scenery. As opposed to more dangerous treks like Pin Parvati Pass that present significant risks, Pin Bhaba Pass stands out as a magnificent and safer alternative, boasting unparalleled beauty and scenery.
