Best Time To Visit

Best time to visit ABC

Peak season for trekkers to explore Annapurna and Dhauladhar mountains is between December and April when heavy snowfall prevents access. Beginning the trek from mid-April to May offers stunning mountainous views from Annapurna and Dhauladhar Mountains.

Fall temperatures vary significantly during October through November, daytime high temperatures range between 10degC and 18degC, overnight lows could drop as low as 4degC. Mid-April and May tend to experience temperatures between 12degC to 20degC during the daytime hours and nighttime temperatures can fluctuate anywhere between -5degC to 8degC overnight.

Be sure to assess your fitness level! Both EBC and Annapurna treks demand similar levels of fitness. Both take place at altitudes exceeding 5,000m while walking for approximately seven to eight hours daily. A decrease in oxygen levels at higher altitudes could cause breathing issues during treks, so it is crucial that both physically and mentally you can tackle such treks. As part of your preparation, we suggest beginning an exercise regimen for at least 30 days prior to increasing intensity.
