Andharban means 'dark forests', and this trail is a perfect example of that. The Andharban Trek takes you through dense forests, waterfalls and streams to reach the tranquil backwaters at Bhira dam. Pimpri Village is located near Independence Point, the Pimpri Dam and other landmarks. The Andharban Trail starts here. Locals will be able to guide you in finding the trail. There is a fee of 50 INR per person to enter the designated area.

Private transportation is the best way to get from Lonavala (50 kilometers away) to Pimpri where the Andharban Trek begins. To get to the start of the Andharban trek, you can hire a vehicle that will pick you up in Lonavala. This is about 50 km away. After you have completed the trail, your driver can pick you up either from Bhira or Patnus village.
There are buses that travel between Lonavala and Bhamburde, 14 km away.
